The stereotypes and categories we put ourselves into and others use to describe us have become ridiculous. The media hasn't helped, but instead encouraged such thoughts and behaviors. All young children's books and movies have an underlying message and it is not until we grow older and wiser do we realize our ignorance. I think it is sad that in a country were we pride ourselves on being equal, we still continue to defy this statement and treat others who do not meet the beauty expectations with hatred and ridicule.
I absolutely love the Disney movie covers! It really makes you think about the shows you watched as a child and the messages you received without even realizing it.
